I’m a thirty-something amateur cook who wants to be a whizz in the kitchen so with this blog, I hope, through exploration of different cuisines, flavours and ingredients, I end up making plenty of gorgeous, interesting and tantalising food. I love Asian dishes due to my upbringing and travels but traditional British food also has a place in my heart.

Food is so intricately woven into our lives, I can’t just see it as sustenance for survival, to me, food is the magnet that bonds my family together. To be sociable, a dinner party is perfect with good food and drink to bring out the laughter and good conversation and cheer from friends, new and old.

As my boyfriend often says when eating something scrumptious “YUM YUM PIGGY’S BUM!”, I hope to have many more exclamations of this from either myself or others with my cooking.
